Jac Høja is a classically-trained cellist, vocalist, producer, and DJ with an immersive and emotive sound ranging from cinematic soundscapes to the dancefloor.

 

Growing up in Chicago, her music fuses contemporary classical, hip-hop, jazz and house. She’s created string and vocal arrangements for A Billion Young and THEMpeople, and performed at various SoFar Sounds and Lincoln Hall shows. In 2020, she and her partner launched Jacqui Mateo, their collaborative dance music project. Playing intimate gatherings led to underground bookings, club gigs, and directly supporting artists such as Monolink, Lee Burridge, and Satori.

 

Jac is driven by the connection between visual and sonic experiences. Whether she's creating soundscapes for fashion films, leading sound meditations at desert renegades like Burning Man and Yoon, or crafting high-energy club mixes, Jac’s music invites listeners to fully engage with the present moment and explore its depths.
